As 2018 Comes to a Close, What Are You Selling?

Every contractor I know is busier than a one-armed paper hanger. In fact, it is almost as frothy as 2006, when homeowners were using their homes as ATM’s and contractors were getting fat off of the low-hanging fruit. Lots of people went out on their own because the business was easy to get.

Then the world came crashing down…

The contractors who lived through previous market corrections lived to fight another day.

The contractors who didn’t know how to “sell” lost their asses and went back to work for someone else.

So, in 2018, what are you selling? 

I sell tactics. I sell strategy. I sell a way for you to beat your competition. What I sell is invaluable to the right person. I sell a future, a life raft, I way to rise above the sea of lookalike contractors all doing the same thing.

I used to sell services. Then everyone started selling services. A website is a website, but it isn’t. There’s a lot of strategy that goes into a website…that is what we sell now. The masses can go get their websites done by Footbridge or that Contractor Monkey or Gurilla or whatever they call themselves.

In 2019, we are going to do great work together, not just post to your Facebook page for you, you guys are doing just fine.
