I’m reading a book titled “Churchill’s Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” which is about a secret group of off the grid militia tasked with performing the most heinous acts of the Second World War. I mean the worst things imaginable.
But the name, Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, it sounds so…colloquial, so, gentlemanly. It couldn’t possibly mean anything bad, right?
You can make anything sound good, you can put lipstick on a pig and make it look good, but if it is ruined from the inside out, if it is bad to begin with, no amount of pretty words, lipstick or marketing is going to make it “good” in the marketplace. It won’t pass the consumer’s smell test. So make sure you are doing right by your people; your workers, subs, vendors, clients, customers, prospects. Everyone.
