It really has been a wild ride in the last three months, right?
On top of dealing with corona, I’ve recently lost my wife after a 2-year battle with cancer. Caring for someone who is sick puts a lot of things in perspective. In the last 3 months or so, there wasn’t much for me to do. But for the year and a half, it was hectic at best.
One thing I have noticed is:
The longer it has been since I’ve written, the harder it was to start writing again.
This has cropped up in other areas of life too:
• The longer it’s been since I stuck to my diet, the harder it is to begin watching what I eat.
• The longer it’s been since I exercised, the harder it is to get back on the treadmill.
• The longer it’s been since I did a 1:1, the harder it is to have the next one.
So, today I thought I’d start writing again, and see how it feels. I’ll leave the diet and exercise for another day. 🙂
I’m curious – is there something you or you have stopped doing, that you find it hard to get started with again?
If so, maybe today’s a good day to try again. I’d love to hear how you’re doing, so please hit me up at darren at darrenslaughter.com and give me an update. 🙂
Take care of yourself and be safe. We’re just getting warmed up!
