We have worked with Darren Slaughter in the past, so I know a thing a two about Social Media and Marketing.\u00a0 When it comes to marketing a small business, it is no easy task.\u00a0 Sometimes when marketing doesn\u2019t work out the way you had planned you might ask yourself<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, How Did I Get Here?\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The good news is that I know exactly how you feel and want to help.\u00a0 Although I own two moderately successfully companies, I ended up missing a beat.\u00a0 The unfortunate truth is I did not have an outlined marketing plan.<\/p>\n

So let\u2019s do a quick exercise together, and work on some key components of a \u201cmarketing plan.\u201d
\n1.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Who are you marketing to and what results are you looking for?
\n2.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0What tools are available to make this possible?
\n3.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0How much time and money am I willing to provide?
\n4.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0When can I see a return on my investment?
\n5.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0How can I measure the results and know what\u2019s working?<\/p>\n

By creating a plan, you can begin to know exactly what works and figure out how much of your resources (time and money) to allocate to marketing your business. So don\u2019t get discouraged if you posted photos to your Facebook page and it did not generate any calls.<\/p>\n

There is no \u201cMagic Wand\u201d when it comes to marketing.\u00a0 As with music, practice makes perfect.\u00a0\u00a0 Expect to miss a few beats along the way, but keep trying until you find your rhythm.\u00a0 There is nothing sweeter than doing something today to make your tomorrow better.<\/p>\n
