Pop-ups are all the rage, you see them everywhere you go on the web. Just as you’re about to read an article or check a score, the screen goes dark and up comes a request to sign up for something; a newsletter, a contest or a whitepaper. You either click the close button or, if you are highly insulted for the intrusion, you leave the page. Either way, you didn’t like the experience. This is why we don’t use pop-ups here or recommend them. Never felt like it was a good use of our site nor yours. But now there is a stat that goes with pop-up use which really makes using them…useless. Check out the video to see what I’m talking about.
