Michael F. Whalen Contracting has proudly served the greater Pittsburgh area with the highest quality construction services for nearly 30 years. Whalen Contracting is a father and son lead team of licensed and fully insured carpenters who take pride in the quality of their craft. Since its establishment in 1982, Whalen Contracting has done thousands of jobs at a fair price for their clients.

Challenge

Whalen felt its business site wasn’t focused enough on the services they offered. They wanted a high-end, responsive website that was dedicated to the home services they excelled in; and had a long track record in quality service to the consumer.

Solution

We created a brand-new website that was responsive and built on WordPress, with content and photos that reinforced their reputation as a leading home improvement provider in the area. The website features images of their work and supports the company’s dedication to advanced craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Client

W. J. Oehler Masonry specializes in masonry repair and replacement for discerning homeowners who value a high attention to detail. Their goal is not to be just a masonry contractor in the Philadelphia area, but to strive to be the best. They base their business on old-fashioned values like taking pride in our work, caring about our clients’ needs, and keeping our promises.

Challenge

Oehler was revamping their website with updated information and images. It had an internal design that needed help with development. They were also working on a tight deadline to be ready for the coming sales season.

Solution

We took Oehler Masonry’s existing site and information and build a new, responsive website integrated into WordPress. We worked with the company to launch the site in one month so they had time to promote it during the busy summer season.

Client

M&S Electric was founded in 1974. With the demand and the need for residential and commercial electrical services, Brian Martin and Jason Stanley, two former employees of M&S, purchased the company in 2015.

Challenge

M&S’s old website hadn’t been updated for years, it wasn’t responsive and it wasn’t reflective of the company’s high standards.

Solution

To design the new site, we listened to the team at M&S and incorporated their vision and services to highlight their new site. We presented several design options then used the winning design to develop a responsive site built on the WordPress framework. Once the website launched, we continue to support the site with maintenance and updates.

Client

Laurie Goldsmith has become accustomed to meeting clients at job sites only to have them peek around her to locate her husband who, they reason, must be the owner of Certified Construction Inc. They’re not going to find him. Goldsmith is the sole owner of the construction company that installs vinyl siding and builds garages. “I’ve had to prove myself a little more than a man would,” she said.

Challenge

Laurie’s challenge was to stand out from the many construction companies in her area. She wanted a site that would stand out from all the cookie cutter sites she was competing with. She also needed a strategic website that promoted the quality custom work her and her team delivers on day in, day out.

Solution

We design a unique and modern website that highlights Laurie’s mission, achievements, and projects to the forefront. The site uses clear and concise messaging along with a modern look that is visually appealing to visitors. A main entrance staircase is the focal point to the website which shows off Laurie’s attention to detail.

Jarvis Foundations by Danny Jarvis Construction, LLC is a locally owned and operated foundation repair company located in New Albany, Mississippi, just Northwest of Tupelo. For the past 16 years, Jarvis Foundations by Danny Jarvis Construction LLC has built a strong local reputation for quality service and trusted construction experience. With over 750 foundations repaired in the Tupelo and North Mississippi area – Danny Jarvis has the experience to determine the best solution to fix your home – even if it does not require a service that he provides.

Challenge

Jarvis serves local homeowners in need of foundation repair, but they weren’t spending much time on their own marketing. They needed a website that would show off what they do and why they are the experts at foundation repair and solutions. We wanted to give them a site that helped them share their expertise and develop new leads.

Solution

We worked closely with Jarvis Foundation to create a beautiful, responsive website. We created a clean design that worked in fresh copy and images that told their story. By building the site with WordPress, we made sure that Jarvis Foundations can add new information or blog content to their site down the road. Now, Jarvis has a website they can be proud to share with clients. They can also grow their prospect list and develop new leads through the website’s clear calls to action.

Since it was founded in 1987, Hendren Construction steadily earned a lasting reputation for providing superior general contracting and construction services throughout the Albuquerque and surrounding area. That reputation evolved by building relationships with our clients, based on providing unmatched expertise and total personal attention.

Challenge

Hendren offers many services in their organization. In the past, it has been very difficult for them to explain their business lines to prospects. The site needed to be easy to manage and add options that helped do some of the selling since the company is a one-man organization. They also had a time constraint to get the project completed before the busy selling season.

Solution

We used the most modern WordPress design and framework to build a back-end CMS that replicated other sites Hendren had in the past. We also had to standardize their previous site onto the WordPress platform, making it easy to update and manage in the future. The website is easy to use, looks great, and turned over in a short time-frame as requested by the client.

Family owned and operated, D&M Enterprises was started by Doug and Mary Dillard in 1968. D&M, or “Dad & Mom” as it has been sometimes affectionately called, was located in Potomac, Maryland, later in Washington, DC, and now in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Challenge

The client wanted a brand new site, the entire content was reworked to stake a claim in the market. Some of the competitive contractors in the market use price as their way to differentiate while D&M promote their ability to provide the right level of service at the right price. That needed to be conveyed in their content.

Solution

We designed their site to use testimonials and an about us page that delivered on the strategy of speaking to their best prospects without them feeling like they were being sold to. A logical flow to navigation also helps move the reader through the site to the contact us page.

Calandra Contracting is a Washington, DC-area based family business, owned and operated by Mike Calandra. For more than 25 years, Mike has been providing his clients with a full array of remodeling and home improvement services. Having grown up in Montgomery County, MD, Mike has developed many strong, personal relationships with customers, vendors, trade professionals, and sub-contractors. He is also an active member of the community.

Challenge

The client wanted a brand-new website, not a redesign of their current site. The entire challenge was predicated on creating a streamlined website that met the needs of the client by presenting their services in a way that made their history appealing to the reader while attracting search engines.

Solution

We began the project with a number of strategy meetings to establish the layout, the look, and the pages to be installed on the site. The design of the site recognizes the connection Calandra Contracting has with the community and the city the serve. A valuable tool for prospects is the process page, which gives the reader a detailed description of what makes the team at Calandra the right choice for their home improvement needs.
