I know a lot of contractors who prefer to operate where they have more competitors than they can shake as stick at. Well, I am here to tell you that it is easier to compete and become the go-to contractor in one vertical, then move onto another and dominate that one as well. The formula for this process is:
Become top dog at “X”, then add another business line, service or market (+1) to your arsenal and watch how quickly you can dominate that space as well.
Point is, it is easier to be a big fish in a lot of small ponds versus trying to get along in a big pond.
