Learn From Your 2010 Mistakes in 2011!

The best teacher is failure. Hopefully, not too many thought. But, while you celebrate the New Year, take some time to reflect back on the last year and what your mistakes where that you need to make sure you don’t repeat in 2011. I shot a quick video today to talk about it.

Good tips. I like your emphasis on fundamentals, as opposed to the contractor “trap” of skipping the basics and shooting for the moon. The most successful contractors I know do it through consistently executing fundamentals. Real simple stuff. Like relationships. That sounds pretty oxymoronish but in business it’s not. Anyways, good stuff. Thanks.

      Hey Scott,

Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year! The easiest decisions to make are the ones based on facts, and the simpler the better. People like to complicate things to make themselves feel better, but like you, the most successful people I know take simple ideas and execute. In other words, I am a big fan of Occam’s Razor.
