I shot this video a few weeks ago but was just listening to a Seth Godin book when he talked about the same thing I do here. But I am going to give you his example in story form.
There is one egg producer in the U.S. that outsells the rest of the industry by a wide margin. When asked, the company said they attribute the sales gap to one thing: They PROMOTE right there on the carton that they produce eggs that are antibiotic free.
Well, guess what?
So does every other egg producer in the country! They were just smart enough to say it first!
So be the first to use something mundane in your business as a selling tool. Get it up on your site, put it in your ads and be the first mover!
