Construction Marketing and Social Media: The Second Most Important Place Online is…

This is not going to be a popular post, I can already tell. The reason I say that is because I am going to counter what most people working inside social media tell you, but that’s why you like us, isn’t it? Social media, it’s obviously here to stay. The problem is, most contractors have no idea what social media platforms to operate on outside of say, Facebook. Well, I am going to give you two tips to promote your construction business on social media:[easy-tweet tweet=”Get your ass out of the forums and onto social networks promoting your brand.” user=”darrenslaughtr” usehashtags=”no”]

  1. Be everywhere
  2. Be where YOUR prospects eyeballs are

You want to be EVERYWHERE because you don’t know what is going to be the next big thing, that’s why you have your flag planted on new platforms. You want to be where YOUR prospects are for the obvious reason of wanting them to see you active in the online community, which helps you when it comes time to buy.

Social media management comes down to one of two things; either you have more time than money, or vice versa. If you have more time than money, you get your ass out of the forums and onto social networks promoting your brand. If you have more money than time, then you hire an agency like us to do it for you. There is no third option ladies and gentlemen.
