I was asked a few days ago by a client why we provide social media management but don’t like advertising on Facebook. Aside from the fact that people don’t “buy” where they play, I gave him the following three key takeaways:
- 80% of the people who check in on Facebook during the day do so on a mobile device.
- People HATE mobile ads more than they hate bent nails, Hitler and bad Coffee.
- Why would you put your company in a position to be lumped into those categories?
Use Facebook to teach, show off good work and interact with your community…just don’t advertise on it!
